Book First Edition Signed
Original Cloth. Condition: Poor. First Edition. Signed by the author on the front free endpaper with a dedication to 'The Reynoldses.' There is a tear in the surface of the cloth running down the edge of the spine next to the rear panel for most of its length. Scattering of pale spots on front and rear panels. Fading to the spine which has fraying at the top and bottom. Rubbing to the edges and corners. Quite heavy foxing to the pages from the half title page through to the beginning of the text of the novel and also to the fore edges of the pages. Page edges a little browned with a light spotting to the top and bottom edges. The fore-edge foxing has bled onto the face of the pages and there is light foxing to the inner area of occasional page through the book but the pages otherwise clean and unmarked. First printing. No jacket. A very rare first edition so it is unlikely that there can be many - if any - other signed copies. Sad that it is in such damaged condition therefore. Signed by Author(s).
