Solid reading copy, not pretty outside but all there and priced accordingly. Previous owner's name printed on upside-down book plate on front paste down. 80 pp text is tight and bright w/two 1/2" closed tears at foot of two pages. Undated, circa 1949. Internals are very good, profusely illustrated with more than 100 black & white photographs taken at California racetracks that illustrate the owning, breeding and competing of thoroughbreds in racings' heyday. The suits, the dresses, the hats, or the guys in regular or working togs standing in the infield. All were welcome and many went. Really takes you back.
