With a printed mimeo snipe (noting the film's original title, "The Pistolero of Red River," which has been crossed out and retitled "The Last Challenge" in manuscript ink annotation) affixed to the verso, along with manuscript ink and pencil annotations and a mimeo snipe. Based on John Sherry's 1966 novel "Pistolero's Progress." A young gunslinger heads into a small western town with the intention of dueling the local sheriff, who is famed for his skill and speed with a gun. Thorpe's final film, concluding a decades-long affiliation with Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer. Shot on location in California and Arizona. 8 x 10 inches.
