Book
Hardcover. Condition: Fair. No Jacket. This Fair quality book, published in 1926 by Dodd, Mead & Company, is ex-library and a reading copy only. It has a serious lean, a very worn front board, with library tape covering both front corners, the bottom edge, the entire spine (see photo), as well as the top rear corner and the bottom edge of the rear board. The interior is in not much better condition. It is completely free of writing, stray marks and stains; but many page corners have 1/4" wide tape where a page had been folded--they are unsightly but do not hinder reading of the text. The lightly toned paper is very flexible and not at all brittle. Hinges are strong and not damaged in any way and the frontis + 3 is intact. There are numerous library stamps in the book as well as a 3" x 3-1/2" library book plate on the front paste down. A part of a well-written series and an enjoyable read. This is a reading copy only.
