El presente trabajo se enfoca en resolver el problema de la detección y el reconocimiento de rostros. La detección de rostros busca encontrar la ubicación y tamaño de los rostros que se presentan en una imagen arbitraria, por otro lado, la detección de rostros busca determinar la identidad de las personas presentes. Para ello se construirá un sistema de reconocimiento de personas basado en la biometría el cual use como patrón biométrico la información de profundidad del rostro.
