About the Author:
Gary Miller was raised in an Anabaptist community in California and today lives with his wife Patty and family in the Pacific Northwest. Gary desires to encourage Christians in developed countries to share their resources and focus more on the Kingdom of God. He also continues to work with the poor in developing countries and manages the SALT Microfinance Solutions program for Christian Aid Ministries. This program offers business and spiritual teaching to those living in chronic poverty, provides small loans, and assists them in learning how to use their God-given resources to become sustainable.
Gary's enthusiasm for Kingdom building has prompted him to write the Kingdom-Focused Living series. The Other Side of the Wall is his fourth book in the series. He also continues to write teaching manuals for developing countries.

During my years on the mission field, I saw firsthand that the traditional approach to helping the poor seldom produced lasting results. Through trial and error I discovered a few of the principles taught in The Other Side of the Wall, but I wish this book had been available to me then to fill in the gaps in my understanding. It provides a clear, complete, and logical view of the whole subject of giving, and most of all, it is thoroughly Biblical in its message.
