About the Author:
Andrew Gumbel was born in a small corner of that great expanse, the London suburbs. Having fallen in love with London at the tender age of ten, he has been trying to make sense of it ever since. He currently resides in Los Angeles and is the author of Cadogan's London guide.

Dana Facaros and Michael Pauls are passionate about Europe and have written over forty books for Cadogan, including several in the France series. They have lived all over Europe, but are currently settled in an idyllic farmhouse surrounded by vineyards in the Lot Valley, France.

Most U.S. visitors to Europe make a beeline for one or both of the continent's most celebrated cities, and as connections through the Channel Tunnel or by air become more frequent and cheaper, short breaks and even day trips have competition. Even if visitors only have a weekend, this essential guide goes straight to the heart of these historic but also vibrantly modern cities. As well as the famous landmarks and attractions, Cadogan also offers insider tips on the havens behind the bustling streets and explores the most interesting neighborhoods, quarters, and city "villages"' where travelers can wander the streets and soak up the atmosphere.
