McLean received a B.A. from the University of Toronto and an M.A. from the University of Calgary. She has been showing people how to understand their dreams for over 20 years. She is the founder and director of Cambridge GATE, a Gestalt training institute. She was a founder member of the Gestalt Association UK, and held the chair of that organization from 1993-1995. She is also a former President of the European Association for Gestalt Therapy. She has a regular dream-working slot on LBC Radio in London and has been featured in a number of magazines and newspapers. She has also appeared on television and radio phone-ins, working with dream on air.
