Once upon a time there were two rabbit holes. One was empty, the other was crammed full of bunnies (five to be precise). One day, Chubby said, "There are two many bunnies in this hole." So one by one, they each made their way across to the other rabbit hole until, lo and behold, there are too many bunnies...

This ingenious yet simple novelty with die cut rabbit holes will charm young readers. And Matt Novak's sensationally silly artwork will make them laugh out loud.

About the Author:
Matt Novak is author/illustrator of numerous picture books, including Mouse TV, Elmer Blunt's Open House, The Robobots and No Zombies Allowed. He was trained as an animator and worked for Disney for many years.
From School Library Journal:
PreSchool-K–Chubby, Fuzzy, Floppy, Whiskers, and Bob are feeling a little cramped in their small bunny hole so, one by one, they decide to relocate to the empty hole across the field. Before long the new place is as crowded as the original. These silly rabbits think the hole across the field always looks bigger than the one they are in, so they spend their time hopping between the two. The action of the text is matched by five die-cut bunnies that "jump" from one place to the other with the turn of each page. The characters, except for Bob, have physical characteristics to match their names, which adds to the fun of keeping track of them. This interactive technique demonstrates the bunnies' movements while the rest of the pictures show the havoc they wreak on their neighbors. The colorful and textural illustrations work well with the text to make this humorous tale great for small groups or one-on-one sharing.– Catherine Callegari, San Antonio Public Library, TX
