About the Author:
Ronald T. Brown, PhD, has published widely in the areas of pediatric psychopharmacology, childhood psychopathology, and pediatric psychology. He serves on the editorial boards of eight major journals, including the Journal of Pediatric Psychology, the Journal of Clinical Child Psychology, and School Psychology Review. He is Professor of Pediatrics and Director of Program Development and Research in Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics at the Medical University of South Carolina.

Michael G. Sawyer, MBBS, PhD, Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Adelaide, is Director of the Research and Evaluation Unit, Division of Mental Health, at Women's and Children's Hospital in North Adelaide, Australia. His current research focuses on the epidemiology of child and adolescent mental health disorders and the impact of chronic illness on children, parents and families.
