Augustine of Hippo was a master of rhetoric. He was educated under the influence of Neoplatonism and Christianity. With more than 113 books, 200 letters and 500 sermons he has left a lasting impact on Western philosophy and culture. Publishers Weekly says that he is the author of the all time number one Christian classic, The Confessions. His most well-known works are his Confessions, The Trinity and The City of God, which today are still best selling titles.
