From 1928 comes this humorous look at the immigration into the United States of Mexicans who were swept up in the myth of America's streets being paved with gold. Title character Don Chipote abandons his small plot of land and his family and drifts up to the Southwest, stumbling along the way into a series of misadventures with another tramp and a dog. This very early Hispanic comedy, while also parodying a serious subject, should still be fun.
