About the Author:
Dr. O'NEAL IS A PRACTICING PHYSICIAN WHO HAS PRACTICED MEDICINE FOR THE LAST 15 YEARS. HE IS A GRADUATE OF THE UNIVERSITY OF ILLINOIS COLLEGE OF MEDICINE IN CHICAGO. HE DID HIS INTERNSHIP AND RESIDENCY IN INTERNAL MEDICINE PRIMARY CARE AT COOK COUNTY HOSPITAL IN CHICAGO. HE GREW UP IN THE INNER CITY OF CHICAGO. HE HAS EXPERIENCED THE PUBLIC AND PRIVATE PRACTICE MODELS OF HEALTH CARE. HE HAS BEEN MEDICAL DIRECTOR AND ON STAFF AT NUMEROUS NURSING AND REHAB FACILITIES. HE WORKED AS A NURSE AIDE STARTING AT AGE 15 THROUGH A BOARD OF EDUCATION PROGRAM. HE IS MARRIED TO LORRIE RICHARDSON-O'NEAL, A MEDICAL DOCTOR. HE IS THE PROUD FATHER OF 3 CHILDREN AYANA, AMARYAH, AND ELIJAH. HE BELIEVES IN THE VALUE OF HEALTH CARE SERVICES FOR ALL. HE IS AN ORDAINED MINISTER OF THE GOSPEL. HE LOVES ALL GOD'S PEOPLE.
