Bette Waters, the author who wrote Judy Lee's story is a retired Certified Nurse Midwife (CNM) a Sexual Assault Nurse Examiner (SANE) and owner of Bluwaters Press. She lives in Deming, New Mexico, where she writes fiction, nonfiction, poetry and publishes books. Her latest book is My Mother Was A Spaceship. Waters says she took a lot of flack over the title of the book, but stuck to her guns. The book is now a monologue for the stage and in the process of becoming a film.
