Review:
There's trouble at the Squaw Point Reservation in Colorado, where a Bureau of Land Management agent has been murdered. Park rangers have also been attacked, so the U.S. Forest Service has an interest. The FBI--after the disasters at Ruby Ridge and Waco--doesn't want to get involved. So, who are you going to call to clean up the mess? Veteran Denver homicide detective Gabe Wager, that's who. Rex Burns, who can take some of the credit for getting the ethnic detective movement started with his books about Wager, who is Hispanic (sadly, only Bloodline is still in print), brings all of his taut, tough competence to bear on this tale of right-wing survivalists, battling government bureaucrats and Indian gambling entrepreneurs.
