Their image, which this book promotes, is one of sweet wholesomeness--an Osmond family for the '90s, a rock band parents love. Much is made here of the boys' close-knit family life and their hard work in achieving their current fame. One interesting footnote is that because these white boys were bused to school as part of desegregation, they developed a fascination with the rap music and rhythm and blues favored by their black schoolmates. According to the book, these sounds influence their own music. Beyond that, don't look for insight and analysis.
