About the Author:
Alan Bullard is a composer and pianist, whose choral, instrumental, and educational compositions are widely performed. He has published a number of choral pieces with OUP and is co-author, with his wife Janet, of the Pianoworks series for the older beginner.
Review:
Bullard writes beautifully for voices. Take a look also at his [Alan Bullard] Anthems, as well as his [Alan Bullard] Carols - this is a composer whose settings are charming, not difficult, and well conceived! * Philip Brunelle, American Guild of Organists Journal, Sept 13 * Above all, though, Bullard appears to have drawn his chief source of inspiration from the eloquent simplicity of folk-carols. This publication stands as an ideal appendix to OUP's ubiquitous 100 Carols for Choirs; certainly, choirs in possession of both will hold a repertoire advantage over those with access only to the older volume. * Choir & Organ, November 2009 * Alan Bullard has the knack for composing interesting, charming carols, and this collection of ten carols shows his skill and diversity . . . There is much to savor here. * Philip Brunelle, American Organist, December 2011 *
