Kindergarten-Grade 2-- Kwitz's latest easy reader seems a bit strained and contrived. Little Chick and Duckling each express concerns about how things will be different when Broody Hen's new chicks hatch. They reaffirm that their friendship will withstand any and all of the changes. The illustrations provide plenty of visual clues for beginning readers.
