About the Author:
About Our Authors and Contributors Lesley Logan is a freelance writer who has worked in publishing over the years as a nonfiction ghostwriter, publicity copywriter, and editor. She is the writer/editor of a new publication called The London Newsletter and is at work on a novel for young adults. She has lived in London as an expatriate for a number of years and has no intention of leaving anytime soon. Richard Ehrlich, who wrote the Dining chapter, has been writing about food and drink in major United Kingdom magazines and newspapers since 1988. His work appears regularly in The Independent on Sunday, The Guardian, and Time Out. An American, Richard has lived in London since 1974. Andy Craft, a native Londoner, wrote the Exercise and Recreation chapter as well as sections on British Culture, What the Locals Already Know, and Getting Around London. He is the author of several screenplays, and has worked for PBS in New York City, where he now resides. Rusty Egan contributed tremendously to the Nightlife section. As a young entrepreneur, he started several successful nightclubs in London in the 1980s, following a career as a pop artist in the band Visage. Tony Heiberg wrote the Entertainment chapter. He is a freelance writer and has worked as a critic and journalist for a number of magazines on both sides of the Atlantic. He is now working on a novel. Atalanta Knatchbull assisted on the hotel and shopping chapters as well as provided office support. Her knowledge of London is extensive, and her stories brightened many a morning at the patisserie. Denise Knestaut researched and wrote several of the entries for the Sight-seeing section, as well as all of the London walks. She has lived in London for two years and has created a London Web site for her sixth grade students back in the States.
